Trimming Ruler

Having taught thousands of quilters and seen every brand of ruler imaginable in use (not to mention having made quilts together for over 20 years ourselves), when Brewer Sewing asked us to design a line of rulers for their Good Measure brand, we jumped at the chance.

Our trimming ruler has become indispensable in our studio. At 3″ x 12″ x 1/8″, it fits wonderfully in your hand. We are proud of the “just right” non-slip backing that provides a firm, safe grip when cutting, yet glides smoothly on fabric when you’re lining it up. Many rulers are either too “sticky” or have insufficient grip. We think this one gets it just right.

We’ve designed the ruler with clear, easy-to-read numbers (including nicely marked half-inches) and precise lines. The digitally printed markings in white and black are easy to read on all fabrics and extremely crisp.

The 30 °, 45 ° and 60 ° markings make angled trimming a breeze.

On top of all that, we’ve added a bonus feature—precision machined compass holes. Place a simple push-pin in one of the pivot points and a marking pencil or pen in your chosen hole and you can draft circles easily. The four pivot points allow you to draft circles of diameters ranging from 1″–10 1/2″ and 12″– 21 1/2″ in 1/2″ increments.
