Ambassador — Vanilla Kit

This kit is for the The Ambassador Modern Mystery Quiltalong. All fabrics are from Moda’s Grunge collection. The kit contains one fat quarter each of 23 prints, 3/4 yard of Vanilla background fabric and 1/2 yard of Tan binding fabric. The finished quilt is approximately 49″x49″. Backing fabric (3 yards) is available separately. If you are making the queen variation (98″x98″), order four kits.

All fabrics in the kit are from the Grunge line. Grunge fabrics are known for their mottled appearance with subtle color variations throughout the yardage. In addition to the Vanilla background and Tan binding fabric, the kit includes 23 fat quarters. Due to fabric availability, we may need to make substitutions which are noted below. In that case we will choose very similar colors of Grunge to maintain the overall spirit of the palette. Our original palette (which may have a substitution or two) will include: Kiwi, Key Lime, Jade Cream, Aruba, Lime Punch, Horizon Blue, Blue, Regatta, Royal,Plum, Grape, Saxony, Jade, Clementine, Papaya Punch, Chiffon, Boysenberry, Raspberry, Salmon, Apple Blossom, Kraft, Bachelor and Pool. The squares of each color represent 7″ swatches of the fabrics. Substitutions may include: Bright Sky for Royal, Zoe for Plum, Paradise Pink for Raspberry, Dark Jade for Saxony.
